In 1994, Dr. Crabtree obtained his Board Certification from the American Board of Neurological Surgery after entering into private practice in Springfield, MO in 1991.

With the vision of creating a unified neurosurgical practice to service communities throughout the Ozarks, Dr. Crabtree worked alongside Springfield, MO native Dr. John Ferguson to establish Springfield Neurological and Spine Institute (SNSI) in 2001. By combining their independent practices, both Drs. Crabtree and Ferguson felt the community’s neurosurgical needs would be best served. Since its inception, SNSI has grown into a multispecialty clinic combining neurosurgery, with physiatry, and interventional neuro-radiology.
